Day Three (Verona & Second Game)

Today was our third day in Italy, and it was once again filled with great site seeing, yummy food, and a win!  The city of Verona, the birthplace of Romeo and Juliet, was our destination for the day!  The beautiful city, great shopping, and its romantic Juliet courtyard were some of the highlights!  A couple of members of the group chose to embrace the romantic setting of Romeo and Juliet.  Many wrote messages to their "lovers" on the wall of Juliet or on locks placed in the courtyard.  By doing so it is said that one will have a happy, loving, and good relationship.  Others ventured into the local market and bought some great Italian clothes and makeup!  We had a delicious pregame meal today at a city inside a city of Vicenza with awesome bread, pasta, potatoes, chicken, and of course a delicious dessert.  At 830pm (230pm US time) we played in our second game here in Italy, which resulted in a 57-44 win against the Montecchio All Star team.  We were awarded a trophy at the end of the game for our Victory and Brooklyn Taylor (Junior #10) was awarded the MVP of the game with her 6 three pointers. Tomorrow we head to Venice, which is located in the Venetian Lagon, and is known for its glass!  Another early morning is ahead for the team so for now "bounanotte!"
